Tusa Magalogo-Fitisemanu
Director of Communications
Jack of All TradesÂ
As Director of Communications, Tusa oversees the Cape Assist brand, including public relations, marketing, fundraising, and development. In addition, he ensures the agency is accurately depicted in the media, online, and within the community at all times.
As the point person for the agency, Tusa works tirelessly to disseminate Cape Assist's message to the community. He actively promotes the agency's programs and services while also growing the agency's donor base and recruiting participation in trainings, workshops, and community events. In addition, Tusa provides communications support for Cape Assist's community coalitions/initiatives, such as the Cape May County Healthy Community Coalition (HCC) and the Lower Township Healthy Youth Coalition (LTHYC).
Add special event planner and fundraising specialists to the list, as well. One of Tusa's biggest accomplishments includes successfully rebranding Cape Assist's annual fundraiser, now known as the Endless Summer Benefit. The result of these efforts included a significant increase in attendees and donations. The event also received state legislative recognition in 2019, a first for any Cape Assist fundraising event. In 2022, the event was attended by more than 300 guests with record-breaking revenue.
On top of a successful 2022 year for Cape Assist, Tusa led the complete redesign of the HCC and the Cape Assist logos - a move to signal the continued growth of the agency and the coalition.Â
